The Fellows Group provides outsourced CFO (Chief Financial Officer) services. This service bridges the gap between a bookkeeping/accounting function and the needs of the CEO/Executive Director and board of directors. In growing organizations, this is a transitional role until the organization is ready for a full-time CFO.
We customize the services to your organization’s needs. In some cases, this means an immediate focus on cash and forecasting. In others, it means creating a finance workflow that includes regularly closing the books, reporting results, updating forecasts, and providing management information to the CEO/ED, senior team, and board.
In as little as one- or two-day per week engagements, we can:
- Close your books every month and provide actionable monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis;
- Manage your current bookkeeper or provide bookkeeping services;
Create and monitor monthly cash flow forecasts; - Develop and maintain a positive relationship with your banker and other key vendors;
Participate as the finance representative on your management team and in board meetings; - Prepare and present board and stakeholder financial presentations.
On an a la carte basis, we also:
- Review vendor contracts/proposals and where possible, competitive analysis of multiple proposals (RFP analysis and selection);
- Review business deals, including financial and business modeling of new opportunities;
- Review and recommend internal process changes for greater accuracy or efficiency including using cloud services;
- Support your organization’s external audit and tax/990 preparation.
